Dr. Charrier is hands down the best optometrist I've ever seen. To give you some perspective, I've seen at least fifteen optometrists in the last nine years because I have Keratoconus, a degenerative eye disease of the cornea.
If you're unfamiliar with Keratoconus (lucky you!), it causes the cornea to thin, bulge, and have an uneven surface. Unfortunately for me, the result is sensitive eyes and poor, blurry vision which is very difficult to correct with glasses and more often than not requires special contacts. As luck would have it, I also have extremely dry eyes and freak out when anything comes near my eyes. I say all of this because I want you to know what a challenge my eyes are and I want you to know that for me, it is imperative that I have a good optometrist.
Dr. Charrier is rare because he is not only amazing at what he does, but he is also very kind and supportive. He is more than capable at finding you the best solution for your vision needs but he is also endlessly patient and kind. He doesn't make promises if there aren't any, but somehow he makes you confident that you'll always find a solution that makes you happy. When it takes me five minutes to decide between "one or two" or when I ask him one thousand questions or when I need to take a break and close my eyes, he is kind and patient. Another bonus: I always learn something new from him (how not to get car sick while reading in the car, where to store your eye drops, etc). Every appointment is awesome.
If you're looking for an amazing optometrist, do yourself a favor and make an appointment with Dr. Charrier, you won't regret it.
